Sandy Noses Pet Photography

Hello! I'm Laura.

I'm excited to share a bit about my journey and what drives me as a pet photographer. From the moment I picked up a camera, I knew I wanted to tell real stories about animals and the people who love them. My connection with animals started early. I was the kid who always hung out with the pets at family gatherings and believed they understood me better than most people. That love has stayed with me and now shows up in every photo I take.

After spending much of my twenties traveling, I bought my first DSLR in 2009 and everything changed. What started as a creative outlet turned into a career I genuinely love. For the past five years, I’ve been photographing the kind of moments that often go unnoticed , quick glances, quiet connections, the everyday magic between animals and their humans. While I mostly photograph dogs these days, I’ve always felt connected to animals of all kinds. I grew up around cats and horses, and I’d honestly be thrilled to work with any creature that lets me into their world.

My approach to pet photography is hands-on, thoughtful, and rooted in years of experience working with animals of all kinds - from high energy puppies and rescues to senior dogs with a calm, gentle presence. Whether you're a pet owner looking for timeless portraits or a brand needing polished product imagery, I bring the same level of care and attention to every shoot. I’ve worked with pet brands on everything from product photography to campaign planning and model sourcing. I also regularly photograph beloved family pets, capturing their personality in a clean, natural way without forced props or gimmicks. I’m comfortable working with animals of all temperaments and understand how to create a calm environment that brings out their best. You’re not just hiring someone to take photos. You’re working with someone who understands animals, knows how to prepare and manage a shoot, and is committed to delivering high-quality results you can rely on.

If you’re looking for someone who truly understands animals and knows how to create clean, beautiful portraits that feel natural and relaxed, you’re in the right place. Whether we’re planning a brand shoot or capturing keepsake images of your pet at home or in the studio, I aim to make the process calm, efficient, and enjoyable for everyone involved,  especially the four-legged kind.

Thanks for stopping by and considering me for your photography needs. I’d love to hear more about your pet or project.
